Inverno Nucleare

by Lorenzo Magistrato

Through an in-depth investigation, this project seeks to explore one of the most deeply rooted and distressing fears of contemporary society: the threat of nuclear war. A fear that, despite the passing of time, remains vivid within the collective imagination, continually fueled by geopolitical tensions and international conflicts. The project delves into how the fear of a catastrophic event takes concrete shape in people’s everyday lives, examining both individual and collective responses to threats that many perceive as distant or unlikely. It also offers a close look at those who obsessively prepare for the possibility of a nuclear conflict, providing an unsettling yet compelling portrait of this phenomenon. This is a world of individuals who live in constant anticipation of an imminent catastrophe, dedicating their lives to preparing for an event that, one hopes, will never occur.
