The current world that we exist in is very complex.
Stemming from questions on reality, society, emotion, and perception, the selected photographs represent a mixture of observation and in a way, self-portraiture, as I look to the world trying to understand how humans function in society. In producing this ongoing series, I aim to allow the viewer to question both themselves and the status quo. How do we perceive others? What happens without limitation? Is what we see really what stands there? These are all questions where I am not clear of the answer and even if so, it is likely out of our control. This is comforting to me, and with that, it is the exploration around these questions that I find interesting.
The reason that I have called this series Hairline relates to both a sense of loss as you find something new, and the fact that what you find is often uncontrollable.
