Supervacua

by Marina Conte

Humans shape the environment in which they live and, at the same time, objects define human identity and imagination.

Supervacua is the investigation, at times claustrophobic, of objects, which, deprived of their functionality, become shape, space, and color.

Declination of the superfluous by subtraction, deconstruction, categorization, and abstraction.

“Ad supervacua sudatur”

“Sometimes we worry about unnecessary things”

Lucio Anneo Seneca – 65d.c.
